NO SWINE FLU FOR US!

So on whim my friend of 28 years Ronni and I decided we wanted to go on a cruise. We booked a girls only trip and have been so excited. In all of our excitement my mom, cousin Melanie and 2 of my sisters have decided to join us. We have all been so excited. My sister Pam in all of her creativity even has had shirts made for us all to wear ( no idea what they say , I can only imagine). So as we have enjoyed the countdown to disembarkation we have been haunted by the news and the stupid SWINE FLU infecting Mexico...GAHHHHH!! Why does this stuff always happen?? Well, Carnival has just rerouted us and we still are set to leave on May 7th so whooo hooo here we come...NO SWINE FLU FOR US!!!
KEEP THE SWINE AWAY!

Missing people and the feelings that childhood brings

 It is always so surprising to me that a simple song can come on Spotify and I feel so many feelings. Rocky Mountain High by John Denver came on and I instantly thought of my aunt Marie ( AKA Re-Re). She was my mom's little sister and I spent a lot of time with her growing up. I miss her. I miss her under 5 foot frame and her over 6 foot tall personality.  I hear Hotel California and I think of my sister Lisa. She is the second of the 4 sisters. I am the 4th. Lisa and I have never been really close. I have so many memories of her music though. Elton John                 ( especially Rocket Man), James Taylor, The Eagles etc. I remember her smelling like Blue Grass perfume and her pale blue Honda Civic. I remember going to a Libertarian rally with her when I was probably 9 years old.  She seemed so sophisticated and worldly to me at the time.I thought she was so cool. She loved Burt Reynolds. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME...

So yes I have ignored my blog for a year. I guess I assume nobody is even reading it so why bother? I decided to do a quick recap and just sort of ramble... I have a new job. It is great. I am working as a Legal Assistant at a law firm in Logan. I work with the nicest people and have learned a lot. I still have a lot to learn but I am sure it will all pull together in time. I moved. I left my 5 bedroom home and downsized to a townhouse. It is really pretty and very upgraded and I am loving the big bathtub and fireplace. I have a nice little grass yard where I have my patio table and we eat outside often. Oliver likes the yard as well and he has more freedom since it is fenced in. Cassidy moved out and into a town-home in the same development. She is living with friends and working in a salon doing hair. I am so proud of her. She has sure grown up this past year.
