NEW CLOTHES FOR ME? YES!

I never ever buy myself anything new. Unless I am walking through Target or something and grab a few new T- shirts. I decided I needed a change! Here are a few of the things I ordered last week for myself. The blue sweater below I actually got in a caramel color that matches the flower on the cute little shoes, and yes I ordered a belt. Have I ever even had a belt before? I have no idea but its about time to feel better about myself and this is a start! When the UPS knocked on my door I was so excited! It felt like Christmas. Nothing better than buying myself a few new things.! Next week....I start going to the gym!

Missing people and the feelings that childhood brings

 It is always so surprising to me that a simple song can come on Spotify and I feel so many feelings. Rocky Mountain High by John Denver came on and I instantly thought of my aunt Marie ( AKA Re-Re). She was my mom's little sister and I spent a lot of time with her growing up. I miss her. I miss her under 5 foot frame and her over 6 foot tall personality.  I hear Hotel California and I think of my sister Lisa. She is the second of the 4 sisters. I am the 4th. Lisa and I have never been really close. I have so many memories of her music though. Elton John                 ( especially Rocket Man), James Taylor, The Eagles etc. I remember her smelling like Blue Grass perfume and her pale blue Honda Civic. I remember going to a Libertarian rally with her when I was probably 9 years old.  She seemed so sophisticated and worldly to me at the time.I thought she was so cool. She loved Burt Reynolds. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME...

So yes I have ignored my blog for a year. I guess I assume nobody is even reading it so why bother? I decided to do a quick recap and just sort of ramble... I have a new job. It is great. I am working as a Legal Assistant at a law firm in Logan. I work with the nicest people and have learned a lot. I still have a lot to learn but I am sure it will all pull together in time. I moved. I left my 5 bedroom home and downsized to a townhouse. It is really pretty and very upgraded and I am loving the big bathtub and fireplace. I have a nice little grass yard where I have my patio table and we eat outside often. Oliver likes the yard as well and he has more freedom since it is fenced in. Cassidy moved out and into a town-home in the same development. She is living with friends and working in a salon doing hair. I am so proud of her. She has sure grown up this past year.
